A recent video of the General Overseer of Omega Fire Ministries, Apostle Johnson Suleman, preaching about whom Nigerians should vote for in the 2019 presidential elections, rescheduled to hold on Saturday 23rd February 2019, has sparked mixed reactions on social media.

The video generated a lot of negative reactions, with many Twitter users questioning Suleiman’s claim in the video that God spoke to him.

In the video posted on Twitter by Jack Obinyan (@jackobinyan), the Edo state-based Pastor was believed to be making an analogy between the two major candidates jostling to become Nigeria’s president in 2019, and described one as ‘a thief’ and the other as ‘a killer’.

“Never vote for anybody that will cut off your head. We may not have a better option, but the man that will steal your money is better than the one that will take your life,” he said.

While his congregations were seen in the video reacting with so much excitement to this statement, many Twitter users in their reactions blasted Suleman for ‘endorsing’ and asking his members to vote for ‘a thief’ in the February 23 presidential election, while some commended his stance.
