Former Kwara State Governor, AbdulFatah Ahmed, is currently undergoing interrogation at the Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission in GRA, Ilorin.
According to a reliable source within the commission, the former governor arrived at the EFCC office around 9 a.m. on Monday and remains there at the time of reporting, five hours later.
According to Vanguard, an anonymous source from the EFCC stated, “Yes, the immediate past governor is here; he got here in the morning, and he’s still with us.”
Attempts to reach the former governor for comments were unsuccessful as calls to his phone went unanswered.
According to sources, Ahmed had been summoned by the commission in connection with financial irregularities related to certain projects during his tenure.
The former governor was sighted arriving at the EFCC office in Ilorin on Monday morning.
Ahmed served as Kwara State Governor from May 2011 to May 2019, preceding the incumbent Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq.
