Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission have apprehended nine suspects in Abuja over alleged involvement in internet fraud.

The arrests were made on Tuesday during raids at Sunnyville Estate in Lokogoma and Open Heaven Estate in Dawaki.

In a statement, EFCC’s Head of Media and Publicity, Dele Oyewale, confirmed that the operation led to the seizure of several items suspected to have been used in fraudulent activities.

These included four luxury cars, laptops, iPads, and mobile phones.

“The suspects were arrested in the Federal Capital Territory, and items recovered from them include high-end vehicles and electronic devices,” Oyewale stated.

He added that investigations are ongoing and that the suspects will be charged to court upon completion of the process.

The EFCC has continued its crackdown on cybercrime across Nigeria, urging the public to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities to law enforcement agencies.
