EFCC arrests 24 internet fraudsters in Edo

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has arrested 24 suspected internet fraudsters in Benin City, Edo State.

The arrests happened on Monday after the EFCC received information about their involvement in computer-related fraud.

The EFCC’s Benin Zonal Directorate conducted the operation and found the suspects in different locations around the city.

During the arrests, they recovered several valuable items, including 11 exotic cars, laptops, and phones. One of the suspects also had ₦160,000 in cash, which was seized by the EFCC.

The commission stated that the suspects have provided useful information during questioning and will face charges in court once the investigation is complete.

The EFCC continues to fight against internet fraud and is committed to ensuring that those involved in such illegal activities are brought to justice.
