EFCC apprehends movie producer, Eneji, 19 others for cybercrime
Emmanuel Eneji, a movie producer, and nineteen others have been charged for cybercrime.
The suspects were arrested by officers of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) at several locations within Cross River.
The several locations raided in the State capital include Ekorimim, Ifete junction, Parliamentary by Car Park and Behind Zone 6 by Monty Suit.
The operation regarding the arrest of the suspects involved in internet fraud was carried out on reliable intelligence.
The ages of the nineteen suspects range between 19 and 36.
Items retrieved from the suspects include one unmarked black Toyota Corolla car, one red Toyota Avalon with registration number-CHR 56 AF, various advanced mobile phones, laptops, one WiFi Router, one Modulator-demodulator and flash drives.
EFCC spokesman Wilson Uwujaren declared the suspects will be charged to court as soon as the Commission finalises investigation.
