Nigerian rapper, Eedris Abdulkareem, has released a new song titled “Tinubu/Bill Gates GMO”, in which he raises alarm over the promotion of genetically modified organisms (GMO) in Nigeria.
The track criticises President Bola Tinubu and American billionaire philanthropist Bill Gates, accusing them of endangering public health through support for GMO foods.
In the song, Abdulkareem, known for his socially conscious music, described GMO products as harmful, claiming they pose serious risks to both the soil and human health.
He argued that genetically modified seeds are not only poisonous but also render the land infertile over time.
“Any seed capable of damaging the soil will likely destroy the body as well,” he said in the track.
The rapper warned that once GMO crops are introduced, the land loses its natural ability to reproduce, which could have long-term consequences on food sustainability in the country.
