Edo 2024: Dennis Idahosa emerges APC candidate
A member of the House of Representatives, Dennis Idahosa, has emerged victorious in the All Progressives Congress governorship primary election held in Edo State on Saturday.
Securing a total of 40,483 votes, Idahosa clinched the APC ticket for the forthcoming September 21 governorship election in the state.
Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, serving as the chairman of the APC primary election committee, announced the results, confirming Idahosa as the party’s candidate.
He highlighted Idahosa’s leading vote count among the nine aspirants.
Governor Uzodimma clarified a mix-up regarding the location of the committee’s secretariat, stating that the authentic secretariat was at the Protea Hotel, contrary to earlier announcements made at the Lushville Hotel.
