Veteran juju musician, Ebenezer Obey, has dismissed circulating rumours about his death and health, labelling the claims as false and malicious.
In a video posted on Instagram, the music legend appeared in good spirits alongside his two sons, singing joyfully to affirm that he is alive and well.
The clip was captioned: “Stop the rumours!!!! Ebenezer Obey is alive and well.”
Addressing the false reports, Obey clarified that he had travelled to London for personal care and rest, not due to illness.
He also condemned the fabricated stories, including images of coffins shared online.
“Everything they have said is nothing but lies that came from the kingdom of darkness.
“I am alive, I am alive, says the Lord Jesus Christ. Thank you very much. I don’t have a stroke. I came to London to look after myself,” he said.
This is not the first time the music icon has had to counter such rumours.
Similar unfounded claims about his health circulated in 2020 and resurfaced earlier this year.
