A new marriage isn’t the only thing, Dwayne Johnson, also known as the Rock has to celebrate. The 47-year-old wrestler turned actor tops Forbes’ 2019 list of the world’s 10 highest-paid actors, earning $89.4 million between June 1, 2018, and June 1, 2019.
He climbed from his number two placing last year – despite his $89.4m (£73.6m) earnings which are less than the $119m (£98.1m) he made in 2018.

He also commands up to 15% of the pool from high-grossing franchise movies, including Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, which had a worldwide box office of $962.1 million. He also gets paid $700,000 per episode for HBO’s Ballers and seven figures in royalties for his line of clothing, shoes and headphones with Under Armour.

Chris Hemsworth also joined the list, he reportedly raked in $76.4 million and isn’t the only superhero on the list.
He is joined by Robert Downey Jr., aka Iron Man, who takes the third spot on Forbes’ list with $66 million. Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar ($65 million) and Jackie Chan ($58 million) round out the top 5.
