Driver flees as three dies, 22 injured in Osun car crash

The driver of a Toyota Camry that crashed into a motorcycle in Aagba town, Osun State on Sunday killing three people on the spot is currently on the run.
The spokesperson for the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Osun State Command, Adeleke Kehinde, confirmed the incident.
“The accident involved a Toyota Camry pencil light and a motorcycle with the number plate AKD 810 QX. The accident claimed the lives of three persons on the motorcycle on the spot,” he said.
In a separate incident in Sekona town, 22 people were injured in a crash along the Osogbo-Gbongan Road. This accident involved a Toyota Hummer bus and a vehicle coming from the opposite direction.
Adeleke provided details about this second accident, explaining that the Toyota Hummer bus veered off its lane and collided head-on with the other vehicle. “It was discovered that the Toyota Hummer bus driver slept while driving. Adult men and women, including children, sustained varying degrees of injuries/fractures, while the Toyota Hummer bus driver sustained fractures on both legs.”
He added, “Three persons were involved in the Fiat Van, while 19 were injured in the Toyota Hummer bus. The victims were evacuated and taken to Sekona Government Clinic for first aid and were later moved to Uniosun Teaching Hospital by Government Ambulance for proper medical attention.”
