Nollywood actor and self-acclaimed preacher, Yul Edochie, has come under renewed criticism after posting a video featuring his sons with his second wife, Judy Austin, shortly after failing to publicly acknowledge his daughter, Danielle’s birthday.

The backlash stems from the actor’s silence on his first child and only daughter’s special day. While Danielle was celebrated online on April 10, 2025, by her mother, May Edochie, and several celebrities, Yul appeared absent from the conversation.

A review of his social media activity revealed that he made no post regarding her birthday, despite being an active user.

The next day, with the buzz around Danielle’s birthday beginning to fade, Edochie uploaded a clip from his upcoming film. However, fans were quick to flood his comments section, demanding to know why he had ignored his daughter’s milestone. The filmmaker responded not with an explanation but with a new post—a video of himself spending time with his young sons from his second marriage.

In the video, the children are seen playing with a car steering wheel, while Judy Austin’s voice is heard in the background capturing the moment. Edochie captioned the video: “Fun time with my boys. They’re growing so fast.” The post only intensified public criticism, as many viewed it as insensitive, given the timing and the ongoing tension surrounding his family dynamics.

Meanwhile, May Edochie proudly marked Danielle’s birthday with a series of stunning photos. Describing her daughter as her “mini-me,” May praised Danielle’s poise, grace, and emerging confidence, noting that she could give professional models a run for their money. She expressed pride in how her daughter had grown into a “strong, beautiful, and kind young woman.”

The latest development adds to the growing scrutiny around Yul Edochie’s personal life, particularly his strained relationship with his first family following his controversial second marriage.
