Nigerian singer Burna Boy, whose real name is Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, turned 35 on July 2.

The award-winning singer was serenaded by his parents, siblings and close friends as he celebrated his new age.

In a clip that has since gone viral, the singer was seen getting emotional over the love and surprise from his family. Burna was seen with his head down as his mother and sisters comforted him.

His mother, Bose Ogulu, while sending him wishes, demanded a wife and asked him not to wish for a car as he blew out the candles on his cake. “Please don’t wish for a car oo”, Burna’s mum teases him.

A year back, Burna Boy reacted after a fan advised him to follow Davido’s lead and start a family. Burna told the fan to leave him alone as he questioned if he didn’t see what Davido was facing with one of his baby mamas. He stated that Adekunle Gold is a better example for him to follow.

Recall that Burna Boy was in a high-profile on-and-off relationship with British singer Stefflon Don. Unfortunately, the two called things off in 2021, after he was accused of cheating on her with a lady, Jo Pearl.

Speaking out, Jo Pearl alleged that she dated the Afrobeats star for two years. According to her, it was Burna Boy who sent her a message on Instagram, and it took her weeks to reply because she was reluctant at first before her friends persuaded her. She said they started talking, and Burna invited her for his pop-up show in the United Kingdom, which was the first time they met.

The British singer, while shedding light on the major reason she broke up with Burna Boy, revealed that he couldn’t satisfy her in bed.

Following their breakup, Burna released a song titled “Everybody Go Chop Breakfast” which was criticized for being directed at his ex-lover. Stefflon responded to the critics by releasing her song titled “First Of All,” which she earlier stated in a tweet is her side of the story.

Burna Boy moved on from Stefflon with BBNaija star Nengi. The two were spotted together on several occasions, but their relationship fizzled out in months. He also dated Jamaican-American rapper Diamond, who shared a photo of herself and the singer loved up in bed. She further revealed that the Grammy singer told her that he felt safer with her.

In 2023, he was alleged to have found love again in the arms of an American woman, identified on Instagram as Juice Gyal. The beauty influencer claimed that she was in a relationship with the singer during a Q&A session and shared a video of her chilling at the VVIP section of Burna Boy’s Switzerland concert in December.
