Nollywood actress Ashabi Simple, the fourth wife of street-hop artist Portable, has stirred concern after posting an emotional message centered around the fear of losing her husband to death.

Ashabi, whose real name is Omobolarinde Akinyanju, took to her Instagram page to express her deep affection for Portable while revealing a sense of emotional and physical exhaustion.

In the heartfelt post, she pleaded with God not to allow death to separate them.

She wrote: “With you, every moment is a gift. Lately, I’m just weak and tired. God, I’m pleading don’t separate us with untimely death. I love us so much.”

The emotional tone of the message has drawn attention from fans and followers, with many interpreting it as a reflection of the strain that can come with emotional vulnerability in relationships—especially one that has remained in the public eye.

Ashabi and Portable’s relationship became public during the naming ceremony of one of their children, where the singer confirmed their union. Since then, the actress has often used her platform to speak about their love, referring to Portable as a man filled with grace and calling their bond a blessing.

Her recent post, however, echoes a more sobering sentiment, pointing to her fear of loss and the weight of the relationship on her well-being.

Ashabi previously went viral in a video where local residents referred to her as the singer’s wife, a title she said seemed to follow her regardless of how she presented herself. She has also raised concerns in the past about health and emotional issues, particularly after reports surfaced that Portable had married another woman.

As the mother of at least two of Portable’s children, Ashabi’s latest message sheds light on the emotional complexities behind her role in the singer’s life—one filled with love, uncertainty, and the ever-present fear of separation.
