‘Don’t burn your Naija passport’, Joe Abah warns young Nigerian emigrants
Joe Abah, former director-general of the Bureau of Public Service Reforms has warned young Nigerian emigrants against burning their Nigerian passports after leaving the country.
Recall that a few days ago, Abah had advised young Nigerian youths to seek greener pastures in Europe or any other developed country.
However, Abah made a recent disclosure on Monday night while advising his followers on his verified Twitter account on how to get nominated into an international organization.
He further advised young Nigerians leaving the country for greener pastures to avoid the delusion of thinking that the won’t have anything to do with their motherland again, urging them to think deeply before discarding their passports.
“If you are young and are emigrating to Canada or anywhere else, don’t go and burn your Naija passport thinking “I am NEVER having anything to do with Nigeria again.” One day, constant light, good healthcare and hire-purchase Benzes will no longer be enough for you. Think am o,” he tweeted.
In the long thread on his Twitter account, Abah concluded stating that not everything in Nigeria is useless. Read the thread below:
HOW TO GET NOMINATED INTO AN INTERNATIONAL ORGANISATION: With the nomination of Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala for the DG of the World Trade Organisation position, let me try to explain how things like this happen. If I have blocked you, you are not the type that needs the info. Thread..
