Budding disc jockey, Michelle Abesin, known professionally as DJ Michelle, has opened up for the first time after she survived a near-death experience.
WuzupNigeria had reported that the 21-year-old had gone to a beach in Lagos on November 18 with her sister and friends to have fun when she was swept away by water.
Her disappearance struck her sister, Stella, friends and colleagues who began to mourn her.
However, 24 hours after she allegedly drowned, the disc jockey was revealed to have been found and rescued alive by an undisclosed man.
In a statement issued in the late hours of Saturday, DJ Michelle thanked God and her rescuer for keeping her alive.
Recounting her near-death experience, the young lady said that the last thing she remembered was being swept away by the tide.
She said, “On the 18th of November I had a near death experience that literally changed my life completely. I got carried away by water and that’s the last of what I remembered.”
