President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday received a shocking revelation during his one-day condolence visit to Benue State.
The president, who visited the state to commiserate with the victims of Fulani herdsmen attacks, was unhappy when aggrieved residents and stakeholders told him that the Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, disobeyed his directives to stay in the state and curb the menace of Fulani herdsmen.
Though President Buhari during a Town Hall meeting noted that his government is seriously worried about incessant attacks on Benue’s rural communities by herdsmen and vowed to end the menace soon, concerned Nigerians have taken to their various Twitter handles to criticise IGP Idris as well as call for his immediate removal from office.
The president said,
“I cannot overlook the killings in Benue or any other part of Nigeria. I cannot do that. I am genuinely worried about the attacks in Benue and we are doing everything to end them.”

“I Never Knew IGP Moved To Nasarawa After I Sent Him To Benue”~@MBuhari
ME: Now that you know that IGP Idris disobeyed your order…why not sack him? PMB, you better know that all Nigerians aren’t wool heads. I put it to you that you were part of the plot.

If President Buhari could not follow up on his instructions to IGP Idris to relocate to Benue and stop the killings, almost three months after, what stronger body language do we need to show Presidential support for these herdsmen? This is a CARE LESS President.

For Buhari to discover IGP Idris disobeyed his orders 2 months after, ‘we’re in serious problem’- Fayose –

#GOP I sympathize too with President Buhari just like Sulaiman Fasasi. You begin to ruminate within yourself if PMB is truly working with the right people. What an insurdination! The statement only is enough to relief IGP Idris of his position.

“I wish I became President earlier”
“I did not know that the IGP Idris defied my order”I like PMB. He is very honest.
It is now time for Nigerians to reward him for his honesty by giving him a deserved rest & replacing him with someone who will know when his orders are defied.— Orji A. Uka (@OrjiUka) March 13, 2018
Still in my early 30’s and i will make babies and my children will grow up and make babies too and the #IGP Idris will still not get sacked ???? yeye dey smell mtcheeew @MBuhari the disappointment in me alone can boil a cold water but na u sabi. Ur result go come.

#IGP Idris must resign or be sacked for disobeying the commander in chief @MBuhari

President Muhammadu Buhari says he doesn’t know IGP Idris went to Benue instead of Nasarawa, our country has become a joke time for “good #change ” #BenueKillings
— Gooner Sancy (@sancyafc) March 13, 2018
PMB openly told the world that the IGP Idris flunked his orders over residence in Benue. So my question is what is he going to do about it? IGP has failed in handling the killings and internal security instead he is very bias. My opinion is that he should let him go.

Folks, why are you surprised that @MBuhari said “I am surprised IGP Idris disobeyed my directive”? This just shows once again that PMB is nothing but a #BundleOfIncompetence. Buharideens’ and @APCNigeria cheerleaders can go and argue with their ancestors. Nonsense!! @Gidi_Traffic

We still do not understand the gravity of this situation. Both “IGP Idris” and PMB disobeyed orders. PMB disobeyed the ‘orders’ of Nigerians to command our ship by not even noticing that one of his captains had disembarked. Both should be fired. Mtcheeeewww
