Diesel tanker explodes in Lagos
A diesel tanker erupted in flames at Ojota area, Lagos State in the early hours on Monday morning, causing panic among residents and commuters.
The incident, which is still under investigation, prompted swift responses from relevant authorities.
The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority confirmed the incident, announcing the deployment of its personnel to manage the situation.
However, details regarding the cause of the explosion and the extent of casualties are still unclear.
The Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service also provided an update, assuring the public that the flames had been successfully extinguished.
In a statement on their X page, they reported, “Situation in Ojota is under control as the peddler truck conveying Diesel inward Ketu that went on flame has been extinguished.”
