A woman was dragged out of court during P Diddy’s sex trafficking trial after she shouted in support of the rapper.
The incident happened on Tuesday, June 3, during the fourth week of Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ trial in New York. It was the 15th day that people have been giving evidence in court.
The 55-year-old rap star says he is not guilty of sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy, and transportation to engage in prostitution.
According to the New York Post, a woman sitting in the court gallery started shouting what seemed like support for Diddy.
“Diddy, these motherf***** laughing at you,” she reportedly yelled. She then added: “It’s not right what they’re doing to him!”
US District Court Judge Arun Subramanian quickly ordered her to be removed from the courtroom.
“Escort her out right now,” he told court officers. Security officers then moved in to drag the woman out of the room.
The Washington Post reported that Diddy turned around to look as the woman was being taken out. The newspaper also said the woman later claimed she believed the Bad Boy Records founder was being unfairly mocked. She said she “wanted to make her voice heard.”
The interruption happened after lawyers had shown an important video in court. They also heard from a former Diddy employee who is using the fake name “Mia” to protect her real identity.
Mia told the court she worked for Combs for eight years. She said that during that time, the rapper sexually attacked her and was “frequently violent.” She said she was raped by Diddy and that the abuse continued while she worked for him.
Earlier in the trial, Combs’ pregnant ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura spoke in court. She made serious claims about the rapper’s alleged sex parties, which were called “freak-offs.”
The trial continues as more people are expected to give evidence about the charges against the music mogul.
