American music star and businessman Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs will be sentenced on October 3, 2025, following his recent conviction on two federal charges.

The 55-year-old was found guilty earlier this month by a Manhattan court on two counts of transporting individuals to engage in prostitution. He was cleared of more serious charges, including sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy, which could have led to life in prison.

Judge Arun Subramanian fixed the sentencing date after both federal prosecutors and Combs’s lawyers agreed to stick with the original plan following a private phone conference.

According to court documents, each of the two charges carries a maximum of 10 years in prison. But prosecutors are pushing for a sentence between four and five years, while Combs’s legal team is asking for about two years. The final decision lies with Judge Subramanian.

Combs, known for hits like “I’ll Be Missing You,” remains in custody at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn. He has been behind bars for almost 10 months since his bail was denied due to fears he might flee or tamper with witnesses.

One of the key witnesses during the trial was his ex-girlfriend, singer Cassie Ventura, along with several others who gave emotional testimonies.

Before the sentencing, both sides will submit detailed memos. The defense must file theirs by September 19, and the prosecution will follow shortly after. A full presentence report will also be prepared to guide the judge.
