American music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs has pleaded not guilty to new charges added to his federal sex trafficking and racketeering case.
The 55-year-old appeared in a Manhattan courtroom on Friday, wearing a tan shirt and pants. His trial is expected to begin this spring, with jury selection set for May 5 and opening statements on May 12.
Combs, who has been in custody since September 2024, has denied all accusations.
The updated indictment accuses Combs of abusing people and forcing them into drug-fueled sex parties through threats and violence. It also claims that he made his employees work long hours while keeping silent about his actions.
Public accusations against the Grammy-winning artist have been increasing since late 2023.
Singer Cassie, whose real name is Casandra Ventura, was among the first to publicly accuse him, saying he abused her for over ten years and raped her in 2018.
Aside from the criminal case, Combs is also facing multiple civil lawsuits. The complaints claim he carried out serious abuse with help from his employees and close associates.
Despite his legal troubles, Combs appeared in court on Friday looking noticeably older, with greying hair.
During the hearing, he smiled, waved, and blew kisses to a row of supporters, including his mother and two of his children.
His legal battle continues as he fights the serious charges against him.
