More shocking details have emerged in the ongoing sex trafficking trial against American music mogul, Sean “Diddy” Combs.

On Monday, May 19, 2025, two key witnesses; singer Dawn Richard and Kerry Morgan, testified in a United States court, giving disturbing accounts of physical abuse, drug use, and violence allegedly committed by Combs.

Dawn Richard, a former member of the music group Danity Kane, said she once saw Combs beat his ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, using a frying pan filled with eggs. Richard, who sued Combs last year for allegedly groping, assaulting, and imprisoning her, also said he threatened to kill her when she tried to defend Cassie.

“He attacked Cassie with a skillet,” Richard told the court. She added that despite what she witnessed, she tried to keep working with Combs because of her music career.

Combs’ lawyers tried to discredit her testimony by pointing out differences in her earlier statements and questioning why she still worked with him after the alleged abuse.

Kerry Morgan, who used to be Cassie Ventura’s best friend, also gave emotional testimony. She said she saw Combs beat Ventura several times and even suffered an assault herself.

“He came up behind me and choked me,” Morgan told the court. “He left finger marks on my neck and hit me in the head with a wooden hanger.”

Morgan said this happened while she was at Cassie’s home listening to music. Cassie was in the bathroom, and Combs was angry, accusing her of cheating.

Morgan said she later went to the hospital for a concussion, feeling dizzy and vomiting. She also said she was paid $30,000 by Combs and signed a non-disclosure agreement instead of filing a lawsuit.

“We haven’t spoken since,” she said about her friendship with Cassie. “The last time I spoke to Sean was the night of the assault.”

Morgan explained that Cassie wanted to leave Combs but was scared to lose her home, job, and car. “I told her to leave him, but she said she couldn’t because everything was tied to him,” she added.

She also described another violent moment that happened during a trip to Jamaica. According to her, Combs dragged Cassie by the hair from a bedroom and threw her to the ground, where she hit her head on bricks.

“Her screams were terrifying,” Morgan said. “We ran away in a golf cart and hid in a ditch while Sean searched for us in another cart.”

Morgan described Combs as a man with “mood swings” who “could be very aggressive.” She said Cassie “lost her spark” and confidence while in the relationship.

“He could be generous and friendly, but he would also call her 50 times in a row,” Morgan testified.

Combs is facing five criminal charges, including racketeering and sex trafficking. He has denied all the allegations. His legal team says the claims are false and meant to damage his reputation.
