Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki, has said the bank robbery at Offa, Kwara State, which led to significant loss of lives and injuries, is a despicable act committed by cruel individuals.
The Senate President in a tweet on Friday promised that no stone will be left unturned until the perpetrators of the act are caught and brought to justice.
Also, Senator Rafiu Ibrahim in his reaction condemned the bloody incident in strong terms and noted that his prayers are with the people of Offa. He promised that the security issues would be taken up accordingly.
Osun State Governor, Rauf Aregbesola, also joined his voice to condemn the attack and commiserated with the people of Offa, the King, chiefs, elders, the government and Governor of Kwara on the depressing and unfortunate incident.
Aregbesola said no effort must be spared to apprehend the bandits and prayed Allah rest the deceased, heal the injured and secure the land.
Nigerians, who were saddened by the reports of the tragedy that took place in Offa, also took to their Twitter handles to attack operatives of the Special Anti Robbery Squad over the sad incident.
They alleged that SARS operatives are good at victimising innocent residents of the area but are never to be found when criminals are unleashing mayhem.

Reports said fifteen people were killed when a gang of armed men attacked two banks and a police station in Offa.
The state’s police spokesman Ajayi Okasanmi said the gang invaded a busy commercial area where several banks and police station are located at around 4:50 pm.
He said the armed robbers attacked the police station and at the same time attacked two banks leaving nine police and six civilians died in the brazen assault.
