Delta speaker tasks Assembly workers on ethical conducts

Published

The Speaker of Delta House of Assembly, Chief Sheriff Oborevwori, has charged legislative workers on the need to adopt dialogue and ethical conducts in the discharge of their duties.

Oborevwori gave the charge on Tuesday in Asaba during a meeting with the staff members while urging them to always uphold dialogue in handling official matters.

While commending them for their commitment and dedication, he charged them to redouble their efforts to ensure increased productivity and service delivery.

“I want to thank you for the support you have been giving to me and members of the State House of Assembly.

“Your support for us both from the Sixth Assembly until now that we are in the Seventh Assembly is indeed commendable.

“The support we are getting from you, no doubt, has been yielding the desired result.

“Within the past four years of this current administration we have never had issues with staff members; there has been robust industrial harmony.

“I want to commend you for your commitment and dedication to duty. However, there is still room for improvement.”

The Speaker assured them of his administration’s readiness to ensure regular training and retraining of workers.

Responding, Mr Emma Edozie, State Chairman, Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria (PASAN), lauded the speaker for his leadership qualities and assured him of the workers commitment to ensure better service delivery.
