The Senior Pastor of High Impact Christian Centre in Delta, Pastor Wilson Okotie, has reportedly died of coronavirus [COVID-19].

It was gathered that Pastor Wilson had, last Thursday, taken ill and was rushed to a clinic in Warri from where he was referred back to a hospital in Sapele.
He was said to have been smuggled into Treasurehold Specialist Hospital along Ugbeyiyi road in Sapele on Saturday, where he was admitted been secretly managed against COVID-19 protocol.
However, Pastor Wilson died from COVID-19 complications on Monday around 6:40 pm while awaiting evacuation from the hospital after the hospital was closed by the Delta State Ministry of Health monitoring team.
According to reports, the Delta State Ministry of Health Epidemiology inspection/monitoring of health facilities and incident manager of Covid-19 response team, Dr Richard Ikwuogu, had stormed the hospital, where the deceased was admitted, following a tip-off and sealed it after discovering that two patients were being treated for COVID-19.
Vanguard reports that the ambulance that came to evacuate the remains of the suspected COVID-19 patient was attacked by some persons suspected to be the late man’s family members.
“They attacked the ambulance that came to remove the corpse, threatening to burn it, maybe they were angry that the health status of their brother was revealed,” the paper said while quoting an unnamed source.
“The driver escaped with the ambulance and as I speak to you the chairman is making arrangements with the security agencies to send the team back.”
