Dele Alli gave an impressive display on Wednesday as Tottenham advance to the round of 16 of the Europa League with a dominant performance against Wolfsberger.

The Englishman scored a beautiful overhead kick and set up to other goals as Jose Mourinho’s men secured a 4-0 win in the second leg of their Round of 32 match with an 8-1 aggregate victory.

Alli gave the home team the lead in 10 minutes at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, before assisting Carlos Vinicius in the 50th minute and Gareth Bale in the 73rd minute to give Spurs a 3-0 lead.

Vinicius completed his brace in the 83rd minutes to put the icing on the cake after good work from substitute Dane Scarlett.

The victory was a breather for Mourinho’s Spurs who have been struggling in the Premier League and sees them become the first British side to qualify for the last 16 ahead of Friday’s draw.

Alli’s impressive displayed earned him the man-of-the-match award as Spurs up to take the form back to their domestic campaign.

Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho: “Dele played very well in every aspect of the game, he played very well.

“Of course he’s not fresh, of course you can feel that his performance like in the first leg from minute 55-60 is going to go down, which is normal due to the circumstances – injured, not training for a long time.

“But in this moment when we are going to play every three days, 10 matches in March, to have Dele back at this level is amazing.” (Sky Sports)
