Nigerian comedian and reality TV star, DeeOne, has completed a Guinness World Record attempt for the longest stand-up comedy performance by an individual.

The comedian began the marathon at about 12 am on Wednesday, October 2, and finished in the early hours of Saturday, October 4, 2025, after performing for 52 hours and 42 minutes.

The event, which took place at Pallazzo in Ikeja, Lagos State, drew a large audience, including several celebrities who came to show support. Those present included Pamilerin, Acapella, FunnyBone, Uche Maduagwu, Husband Material, EmmaOhMaGod, K-Solo, Constance Owoyemi, Akinolu Jekins, and Gbenga Adeyinka the 1st, among others.

Speaking after the performance, DeeOne said his record attempt was aimed at inspiring young Nigerians and showing that with focus and hard work, no dream is out of reach.

“I wanted to prove that no goal is too high to achieve. This record is not just for me, but for every Nigerian youth who believes in their talent,” he said.

According to the comedian, his team worked closely with officials throughout the process to ensure the record met all requirements set by the Guinness World Records.

Although the attempt has been completed, it will now undergo official verification by Guinness World Records before final confirmation.

If approved, DeeOne’s 52-hour performance will surpass the record previously set by American comedian Benny Elbows, who performed for 40 hours, 16 minutes, and 48 seconds on April 25, 2025.
