DECEITFUL! Man drags wife’s family to court after finding out she is not a virgin
A Switzerland man, Manyeva Dlamini, is demanding that the family of his ex-wife, Ruth Thembisile Sibiya, return his bride price because Sibiya lied about being a virgin.
The man who took the matter to court demanded that his in-laws return the 24- cows he gave them as a bride price after reportedly discovering that his wife was not a virgin at the time they got married.
However, Sibiya denied making such a claim. She said her ex-husband was also not a virgin because he had fathered two children and as such was also not a virgin”.
She averred that Dlamini knew that she had slept with another man and she was already three months pregnant on their wedding day.
Sibiya also said that her ex-husband paid nine cattle for her purity and virginity, not the 24 cattle that he was alleging that he paid.
Sibiya said that she was a minor when the relationship between her and Dlamini began adding that she was his pupil at Ndzingeni High School, Gossip Mill reports.
She claimed that although she later changed schools, Dlamini persistently asked her to marry him to an extent that he involved her father.
“After I completed school in 1995, Dlamini, who was far older than me, insisted that we get married but I refused to marry him since I wanted to pursue my studies”.
However, Sibiya said she met and fell in love with one of Dlamini’s friends while in school but alleged that it was difficult to tell Dlamini that she had changed her heart about him.
