Popular Afrobeats singer, Oladapo Banjo Oyebanjo also widely known as D’banj has released the track list of his upcoming album, titled The Entertainer: The Sequel.
The much-anticipated new album,release on Friday, August 16, 2024 has generated reaction since the artist shared the update on Tuesday via his official X (formerly Twitter) handle to share the big reveal.
The post, which read, “The Entertainer D’Sequel | Out 16.08.24,” was accompanied by a tantalizing teaser video that left fans buzzing with excitement.
The teaser hints at a potential collaboration with Don Jazzy, the producer behind some of D’banj’s biggest hits, sending fans into a frenzy.
This new album comes hot on the heels of D’banj’s recent release, ‘Koko’ and continues to build on the momentum of his previous track, ‘ Since’04’.
The latter was a nostalgic celebration of his 20-year journey in the music industry, a career that began in 2004 when he signed with Don Jazzy’s Mo’ Hits label.
D’banj, known far and wide as the ‘Kokomaster,’ exploded onto the scene with his 2005 debut single, Tongolo, a track that quickly became a nationwide anthem and launched him into superstardom.
Now, two decades later, the prospect of a reunion with Don Jazzy has fans eagerly counting down the days to the album’s release.
