Ayo Labinjoh, mother of Anu Adeleke, has issued a detailed response following Nigerian singer Davido’s public denial of paternity claims linking him to her daughter.

In a statement released on Wednesday evening, Labinjoh rejected labels associating her with the singer, insisting that her main concern has always been the mental and emotional wellbeing of her daughter.

She said Anu has endured years of bullying, which affected her health and required professional psychological support.
Labinjoh also disputed Davido’s claim that he had never met her, explaining that their interactions began years ago. She challenged the validity of a DNA test conducted in 2014, alleging that blood samples were discarded and the results presented were not authentic.

She further questioned the singer’s assertion that multiple credible DNA tests had been carried out.

The matter, according to Labinjoh, resurfaced after Davido made public statements regarding the situation, which reignited social media attention on her daughter.

She accused the singer of using intimidation tactics, claiming he contacted Anu directly with threats and insults.
Labinjoh emphasized that her daughter is not seeking attention or financial gain but is simply pursuing clarity about her parentage. She revealed plans to formally request that the United States State Department facilitate and oversee an independent DNA test through U.S. diplomatic channels in Nigeria.
