Davido to perform at AFCON 2025 opening concert

The opening concert of the TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations 2025 in Rabat, Morocco, will be headlined by Nigerian Afrobeats star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido.

The Confederation of African Football confirmed on Thursday that Davido will lead a star-studded international line-up for the pre-tournament concert.

Also scheduled to perform are global hip-hop sensation French Montana, Moroccan singer Douaa Lahyaoui, French-Moroccan hitmaker Lartiste, and fast-rising artiste Says’z.

The opening concert is set to hold on Saturday, one day before the official kickoff of the tournament, and is expected to set the tone for the month-long football championship in Morocco.

CAF, in its official announcement, listed the artistes selected to headline the opening concert of the TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations 2025 in Rabat. According to the football governing body, French Montana and Davido will spearhead the international music showcase, alongside Douaa Lahyaoui, Lartiste and Says’z. The line-up, CAF noted, reflects AFCON’s celebration of African culture, music and global influence. The concert will take place a day before the tournament begins, setting the stage for what organisers anticipate will be an unforgettable competition.
