Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has stirred reactions online after revealing how he spent his first endorsement payout of N20 million.

In a post shared via his Instagram story, the award-winning singer appeared reading a blue-covered script, sparking curiosity among fans.

Alongside the post, Davido shared a personal story about his early career and first big paycheck.

According to him, the money came from his first endorsement deal, which totaled N20 million.

Rather than invest or save the funds, the singer admitted he splurged it on a luxury stay at Eko Hotel and Suites with his cousin, fellow artist Adebayo Adeleke, known as B-Red.

Davido recounted that they rented an entire floor at the hotel and stayed for a week. He also revealed that he bought a Camaro, a flashy car he and B-Red drove to the hotel.

He added that he shared part of the money with his manager, although he didn’t specify the amount.

“We got the money, went straight to Eko Hotel, paid for a whole floor and stayed there for a week. Bought a Camaro. Blew the whole N20 million. Gave my manager a cut too,” he revealed.

Davido, known for his luxurious lifestyle, continues to make headlines for his lavish spending.

In 2024, he purchased an electric Rolls-Royce Spectre and recently gifted his wife a G-Wagon for her 30th birthday.

The post has sparked discussions on social media, with fans reacting to the singer’s candid reflection on youthful exuberance and financial choices early in his career.
