Afrobeats superstar, Davido, has clarified the circumstances surrounding a viral video that appeared to show him being slapped on the head during his recent visit to Warri, Delta State.

In a post via his X handle, Davido explained that it was actually one of his security personnel who accidentally hit him.

Reacting to a troll he wrote, “Mumu that was my security .. hit me by mistake .. saddist.”

The video had sparked widespread speculation on social media, with many believing that a fan had assaulted the singer.

One social media user who shared the video captioned it: “Warri people no get joy oo. See dem sl@p Davido for head.”

Davido’s clarification has put the debate to rest among fans who had expressed outrage over the incident.

Meanwhile, reality TV star, Uriel Oputa, has spoken out against the trend of comparing celebrity weddings, particularly those of Davido and his fiancée Chioma, and Mr Eazi and his wife Temi Otedola. Uputa described these comparisons as misplaced, pointing out that many critics lack the financial means to host similar weddings.

She noted that most people struggle to cover basic wedding expenses, making their critiques unrealistic.
