Nigerian music sensation Davido, also known as David Adeleke, has spoken out against allegations circulating online that he sacked his lawyer, Bobo Ajudua, for embezzling $370k. The singer took to his Instagram story to address the issue, urging people to disregard the claims.
In his Instagram story, Davido stated, “I didn’t sack My Lawyer Bobo for Embezzling $370k, This was not the case at all! We are still very good friends! In business things evolve and change all the time! Please everyone disregard this narrative.”
The controversy stemmed from a post by popular Nigerian blogger Stella Dimoko Korkus, who alleged that Davido terminated his lawyer’s services after only $30,000 was returned out of the $400,000 entrusted to him. The post detailed an incident in Dubai where Davido’s cards were declined, and his lawyer reportedly refused to settle the bills, leading to a dispute.
However, Davido clarified, “I didn’t sack My Lawyer Bobo for Embezzling $370k, This was not the case at all!” He emphasized that they remain good friends and explained that changes in business relationships are common.
In response, Stella Dimoko Korkus retaliated, challenging Davido’s denial and threatening to share evidence of their recent conversations regarding the incident. She accused Davido of avoiding the truth and questioned the authenticity of his denial.
She wrote, “Davido, I really don’t want to do this with you but this is a big lie… Someone you told God will punish on WhatsApp just now? Someone who begged to be forgiven, but you refused? Your father told you to give this a few minutes ago… The lawyer even told you to go and read what Stella posted….
“Did you fire him because of what I posted or not? are you good friends OK DEMONSTRATE!!! I have screenshots, so don’t push me to post, I don’t want to be messy today, please… Don’t be the ones who are celebrities talking real passes, don’t ruin my work, ya hear?
“If you like, make another denial… You didn’t answer when all those Ladies were dragging you and lying about impregnating them, but I didn’t write the truth to which you answer… Well done!”
