Anu Adeleke, who has long asserted that she is the alleged daughter of Afrobeats star Davido, has formally called for a DNA test to determine her paternity.
She made the appeal in a post shared on her Instagram page on Thursday, accompanied by a photograph of herself.
In the message, Anu spoke about resuming school after the holidays and entering her teenage years.
She noted that her mother and grandmother instilled in her values of responsibility, advising her to stay away from “drugs, alcohol, bad company and bad behavior.”
She also recounted experiencing bullying from as early as six years old after telling classmates that her father was “Mr David Adeleke.”
According to her, the ordeal led to “mental anguish” and required visits to a medical professional for mental health support.
Anu stated that as she gets older, she feels the need to clearly define her identity.
She wrote, “As I transition into a young woman, I am respectfully asking Mr David Adeleke Singer @davido for a DNA 🧬 test to establish my identity. This test is between my dad and I. It is something I want. It is something that’s the right thing to do. Please sir, consider my request once you read this post. I also sent it to your DM.”
She expressed gratitude to Nigerians who have shown her support, describing the DNA test as “the right thing to do for me.”
She added, “God Bless you Mr Adeleke. Anu Adeleke. January 15th 2026. Ibadan, Nigeria.”
Prior to this latest appeal, two DNA tests had reportedly been carried out, with results indicating that Davido was not her biological father. Anu’s mother, however, challenged those findings, alleging that the results were manipulated and that she was not granted access to a truly independent test. The paternity claim has remained a subject of public debate for several years, marked by multiple statements and controversies.
As of the time of filing this report, Davido has not publicly responded to Anu’s Instagram request made in 2026.
