British actor Daniel Kaluuya, who took home the prize for the Best Supporting Actor for his portrayal of Fred Hampton in ‘Judas and the Black Messiah’ gave a rather unusual speech at the just-concluded 93rd Academy Awards.

The dark-skinned actor expressed gratitude to the Black Panthers, his co-stars, and his parents for ‘having sex.’

His mum who was present at the Awards ceremony could not hide her disbelief and looked rather flushed while his sister, also present, went on to cover her face with her hands.

In his four minutes speech, Kaluuya also spoke powerfully about the Black Panther Party, saying:

“Thank You God. I can’t be here without your guidance and protection.

“As for my mum, thank you for pouring into me. You gave me everything. You gave me your factory setting so that I can stand at my fullest height. Love to my sister, love to my niece, my friends and my family. Everyone I love, from London to Kampala. I’d like to thank my team and everybody that made this happen. Incredible support.

“It is so hard to make a film and make a film about a man like this. They made it happen.

“We are enjoying ourselves tonight because we are celebrating life. We are breathing, we are walking. It is incredible.

“Like it is incredible, my mom met my dad. They had sex. You understand. Like I’m here. I am so happy to be alive. So I’m going to celebrate that tonight. You know what I’m saying and I appreciate every single person in the room, those watching at home,” he stated.
