British star, Daniel Craig is ready to call time on his James Bond career after suffering one injury or another during every single 007 movies.
Craig who has starred in five instalments of the James Bond movie beginning with Casino Royale in 2006 told UK Mirror that it’s time to pass the baton to someone else.
The 53-year-old’s latest was ‘No Time To Die’ which dropped this year tho it was delayed due to Craig’s latest stunt-related injuries – and then further pushed back amid the pandemic.
Speaking to the publication, Craig revealed that he was happy he did one more Bond movie.
“It’s time for someone else to have a go! I’ve hurt myself on every single Bond movie,’ said Craig whose ankle ‘exploded’ when he slipped running along a wet dock while shooting early scenes for ‘No Time To Die’ in Jamaica.
The British actor had to have surgery and recover for nearly three months, according to Daily Mail.
Craig who lost two teeth filming Casino Royale added that “I’m really, really happy I did this movie – that I did one more.
“It’s been, as they always are, incredibly hard work,” the 53-year-old who required a knee surgery during Spectre continued.
“But it’s a massive collaboration and one of the most moving things for me about finishing this film is some of the people that I have worked with on five Bond films.”
“And for me that’s what it was all about – it was those people and saying goodbye to them,” added Craig who also lost the tip of his finger and dislocating his shoulder on Quantum Of Solace.
