Dangote refinery enlists oil marketers for fuel distribution
The Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals has registered three major oil marketers’ associations for the distribution of diesel and aviation fuel.
In a recent announcement on X (formerly Twitter), the company revealed that it had registered the Depot and Petroleum Products Marketers Association of Nigeria (DAPPMAN), the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN), and the Major Oil Marketers Association of Nigeria (MOMAN).
The post stated, “Three prominent associations, that constitute 75 percent of the total market in Nigeria, have been registered.”
Additionally, the company expressed its openness to considering other marketers who have shown interest.
The Dangote Refinery, located in Lagos, commenced operations in December with a daily production capacity of 350,000 barrels.
This move is expected to strengthen the distribution network and contribute to meeting the fuel needs of the Nigerian market.
