Former Marlian Records dancer, Idowu Smart Emmanuel, popularly known as Lil Smart, has accused British-Nigerian artist Naira Marley and singer Zinoleesky of kidnapping and assaulting him.

In a series of emotional posts on social media, Lil Smart recounted his experience, showing bruises he claimed were from the attack.

He alleged that Naira Marley and Zinoleesky, along with others referred to as “INN” and “MMP,” abducted him, took him to a remote location, and attacked him.

“I escaped death today,” Lil Smart wrote. “NAIRA MARLEY & ZINOLEESKY kidnapped me, then sent their boys, INN & MMP, who took me into a bush. They stripped me naked and wanted to break my legs with stones. But as God would have it, I managed to escape and ran onto the express road naked.”

Lil Smart claimed a Good Samaritan picked him up while he was running half-naked on the expressway. He added that his belongings, including his wallet containing $300, his house key, and other valuables, were stolen during the attack.

“They took my necklace, my skate, and my trousers. My house key was in the wallet they stole. I am appealing for justice because my properties are still with them,” he said.

Lil Smart warned the public to hold Naira Marley and Zinoleesky accountable for his safety, stating, “If anything happens to me, if I go missing or die, know that it was Naira Marley and Zinoleesky.”

He also shared photos and videos as evidence of the injuries he sustained during the alleged attack, urging authorities to investigate and take action.

This incident comes just a year after the death of another former Marlian Records signee, Mohbad, who reportedly faced harassment and intimidation from members of the label. Many Nigerians had blamed Naira Marley and Sam Larry for Mohbad’s tragic death.
