Media personality Daddy Freeze has expressed worry after a heated exchange between music star 2Baba and his wife, Natasha, occurred during his Instagram Live session.

The drama started after a former worker of the singer, known as Kaka, joined Freeze for an interview. During the session, Kaka claimed that Natasha often stopped 2Baba from growing in his career and also controlled him emotionally. He said the singer usually stayed quiet about it in Nigeria but talked more about his struggles while on tour abroad.

According to Kaka, Natasha felt threatened by 2Baba’s success because she feared it would make him difficult to control. He said her behaviour affected the singer’s confidence and mental strength, which made him end his working relationship with them.

While the interview was going on, 2Baba unexpectedly joined the Live to respond. His presence led to an argument with Natasha, and the singer quickly left the stream, causing more concern among fans.

Reacting after the session, Daddy Freeze said he was shaken by what happened.

He said, “If anything happens to 2Baba in this life, nobody can say I didn’t try. What happened on my Live show today traumatised me. I don’t know the details of what happened, but it was scary. I am bothered by 2Face and Natasha. If you are close to them, can you please check on them? Even my wife was worried. I don’t know who to call.”

He also thanked his wife for her support, saying, “My darling, anytime I see you, I am thankful. Thank you for not beating me because a lot of people would have made a jest of me and say ‘see the person that talks about people’s lives’.”

The online tension came only hours after videos surfaced showing 2Baba in handcuffs following an incident with Natasha in the United Kingdom.

This followed earlier reports from October that the singer had been involved in a dispute with Natasha, who was pregnant at the time, which led to his arrest.

Months before the current drama, 2Baba’s mother had pleaded with Natasha to remove the beads she placed on him, saying her son was already dealing with a divorce from Annie Idibia and was not in the right state of mind.

The couple’s issues have continued to draw public reactions. On a podcast in July, 2Baba had said that men are not naturally made to be with only one woman. But he later made a video apologising, saying he “fucked up” and asking forgiveness from Natasha, his fans, and his children.

His younger brother, Charles Idibia, also accused Natasha of controlling him, saying his brother had moved from a frying pan into an industrial fire.

Media figures have also voiced concern. Do2dtun said someone was forcing 2Baba to become a different person. Comedian Ayo Makun noted that many people criticise without asking if the singer is okay, adding that men are often taught to suffer in silence.

Singer Cynthia Morgan also urged that the couple needs prayers, saying Natasha should not expect 2Baba to become monogamous overnight.

Daddy Freeze had earlier said the singer was losing his shine, while his ex-wife Annie Idibia was improving and growing stronger.
