Rodthong, who is willing to give up all his assets to help his girl, Karnsita, find Mr Right reveals there are no restrictions on who can apply – as long as they “work hard and make Karnista happy.”
However, there is a catch: the family grow durian. And according to Daily Star UK, Durian is the world’s smelliest fruit, likened to raw sewage.
So the ideal suitor will probably need a strong stomach.
University graduate Karnista, who is fluent in English and Chinese, has been helping to run the farm in southern Thailand’s Chumphon province.
Local custom dictates that a man should pay a dowry – with Karnista expected to command a high fee.
But her frustrated father has waived the payment in desperation to find his daughter a suitable match.
Arnon has instead agreed to give his future son-in-law 10m Thai baht (240,000GBP) plus they will have a stake in his sprawling farm valued at several millions of pounds.
Arnon revealed:
“I don’t want a person with a bachelor’s, or master’s or philosopher’s degree.
“I want someone to take care of my business and make it last.
“I want a diligent man. I just want someone with a hard-working attitude. That’s all.
”As soon as I have an in-law, I will give up all my assets to him.”
Businessman Arnon processes around 50 tonnes of durian – a valuable fruit which is in high demand from China – every day.
His farm is said to be the biggest in the region.
But Karnista, who has older brothers, is still single after her father’s public appeal to find her a partner.
And she told how she has her own plans for his cash – to fund cosmetic surgery in Korea.
She added:
”I first found out about my father’s post when my friends showed me.
“I was surprised but I can see the funny side to it, too.
”It is true that I am still single.
“If I have to get married to someone, I only want him to be a diligent and good person who loves his family.”
