Customs probe bribe-seeking female officer in viral video

The Nigeria Customs Service has initiated an investigation into a bribery incident involving one of its officers at Murtala Mohammed International Airport.

The investigation follows the circulation of a viral video showing the yet-to-be-identified Customs Officer soliciting a bribe from a Nigerian passenger.

In a statement issued by the National Public Relations Officer, Mr. Abdullahi Maiwada, the NCS expressed its commitment to ensuring full accountability in response to the officer’s unprofessional conduct.

We wish to confirm that the officer implicated is indeed a member of the Nigeria Customs Service, properly assigned to the Murtala Mohammed International Airport Area Command.”
