Cristiano Ronaldo is set to marry his longtime partner Georgina Rodriguez after eight years of dating.

The 40-year-old Portuguese football star proposed with a large oval-shaped diamond ring, which Georgina showed off on Instagram on Monday.

In the post, Georgina shared a close-up of her hand resting on Ronaldo’s, with the ring sparkling in full view. She captioned it in Spanish, “Yes I do. In this and in all my lives.”

The couple first went public in 2017, appearing together at the Best FIFA Football Awards in Zurich before confirming their relationship on Instagram later that year. They share five children — twins Eva Maria and Mateo, daughter Alana, daughter Bella, and Cristiano Jr., Ronaldo’s son from a previous relationship.

Their relationship has seen both joyful and heartbreaking moments. In April 2022, they announced the death of Bella’s newborn twin brother, Ángel. Speaking about the loss in her Netflix series I Am Georgina, she called it “the best and the worst moment of my life,” explaining how Ronaldo encouraged her to start enjoying life again.

Georgina, now 31, met Ronaldo while working at a Gucci store in Madrid. She once recalled how he would pick her up after work in luxury cars. “My coworkers went crazy,” she said. Ronaldo added that he would wait for her outside the store, and once they got home, “we would go into our own world.”
