In a relentless effort to bring crime to the barest minimum in the metropolis and its environs, the Lagos State police command has purchased some sophisticated gun boats for its personnel.
This was made known in the pictures shared on the Twitter handle of Rapid Response Squad @rrslagos767.
The state’s Commissioner of Police, Fatai Owoseni, on Monday, paid unscheduled visit to Ejirin, and inspected the newly acquired gun boats that will be used to fight kidnappers.
The gesture might not be unconnected with the fact that perpetrators of major robbery operations and kidnappings usually used the vast waterways of the state to elude arrest.
