Criminalise job fixing for privilege children, Ndume tells Buhari

A former Senate Leader,  Senator Ali Ndume, has asked the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.) to take  punitive measures against anyone found culpable of job fixing for children and  relatives of influential personalities especially the political office holders.

He said Buhari should criminalise such act because it was wrong to deny eligible applicants right to employment as a result  of social status.

Ndume stated this during a chat with journalists  on Tuesday.

He said government should as a matter of urgency, investigate every reported cases of job fixing for privileged children at the expense of eligible ones.

He said  those found guilty should be tried in competent courts of law.

The  Senator, who is the Chairman,  Senate Committee on Army, said every eligible Nigerian job seeker should be given equal opportunity irrespective of their social status.

He said,  “Giving available jobs to children of those in positions of power at the expense of qualified ones is very wrong and should be discontinued.

“This country will not have peace until sons and daughters of nobody can become somebody without knowing anybody.”
