Former Lagos PPRO, Dolapo Badmos mourns her colleague who died after being infected with the dreaded Coronavirus.

The popular police boss, took to social media to mourn the painful loss, describing him as a zealousness officer who fought hard towards ridding the world of the pandemic.

”Today would have marked your birthday but u succumbed. I know by now you must have been telling COVID19 to leave the world since it has taken you. yes, I’m sure you must be telling it to take your death as the “sacrifice”! Yes..that’s the person you are! So compassionate…RIP sir” she wrote.

Her post comes days after a 57-year-old police officer died following complications from COVID-19 in Edo state.

In other news, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) says it has recorded 114 new cases of the coronavirus (COVID-19) in the country.

In a tweet on Friday night, NCDC said that the new cases had taken the total number of infections in the country to 1095.The centre said that 80 of the new infections were recorded in Lagos.
