Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, says severe COVID-19 patients in the state currently utilise 400 oxygen cylinders on daily basis since the outbreak of the third wave.
Sanwo-Olu stated this on Monday at the Lagos House, Ikeja, during a news conference on the state’s management of COVID-19.
He said that the 400 oxygen cylinders daily was an increase over the 75 cylinders utilised by severe COVID-19 cases, as at the beginning of the third wave of the virus.
According to him, to help better manage the pandemic, the state government had invested in strengthening the capacity of the Lagos State BioBank to sequence positive cases.
