As part of efforts to cushion the effect of the lockdown directive by President, Major General (Retd.) Muhammadu Buhari over the spread of coronavirus in the FCT, wife of the FCT lone Senator, Philip Tanimu Aduda, Princess Hauwa Philip Aduda embarked on the distribution of some palliative materials which include; bags of rice, beans, eggs, cartons of noodles among others to the vulnerable groups in the state.
The Princess Kande Aduda presented the items to the children of Karu orphanage home and to the people leaving with disabilities at FCT leprosy centre in Yangoji.
She urged other more privileged and well-meaning Nigerians to see it as an obligation to wholeheartedly contribute in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic through the provision of some veritable palliatives to cushion the suffering of the needy.
Mrs Aduda also seized the opportunity to advise the beneficiaries and the people of Abuja to adhere strictly to the NCDC safety tips of ensuring frequent washing of hands with soap, putting on a face mask and observe social distancing as well as the presidential directive of “stay-at-home” being a vital measure put in place to contain the spread of COVID19 in the vulnerable communities.
