The Lagos State Government has dragged a 38-year-old man, Afeez Gbadamosi, to the Ikeja Sexual Offences and Domestic Violence court for allegedly abusing his two young sons sexually.

Gbadamosi is facing four counts of sexual assault and indecent behaviour for allegedly molesting his three and seven sons between 2021 and 2022.

The state prosecutor, Abimbola Abolade, told Justice Abiola Sholadoye that the defendant violated the boys by inserting his finger into their anus and touching their genitals and buttocks inappropriately.

She also alleged that Gbadamosi exposed the boys to his sexual activities with his wife by making them watch him.

She said the offences contravened Sections 261 and 264 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State 2015.

Gbadamosi, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges. His lawyer, O.O. Oladipupo, asked the court to grant him bail on liberal terms.

But Justice Sholadoye ordered that he should be kept at the Ikoyi Custodial Centre until he meets his bail conditions.

She adjourned the case till November 20, 2023, for trial.
