Saudi Arabia suspended travel to nine countries for its citizens and residents amid coronavirus fears.
Entry for people from those countries or anyone who has visited in the past 14 days was also suspended, the state news agency reported early on Monday, quoting a source in the Interior Ministry.
The nine countries are Italy, South Korea, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Bahrain, Lebanon, Syria, Egypt and Iraq.
The source said that all flights and naval trips between the Kingdom and the countries would also be suspended, not including evacuations and trade trips.
Saudi Arabia recorded four more coronavirus cases on Sunday, raising the total to 11 cases.
More than 100,000 people have been diagnosed with the coronavirus disease globally, according to Johns Hopkins University – with at least 3,015 deaths in China and 267 fatalities in other parts of the globe, most of them in Italy and Iran.
At least 1,200 of the new infections are in Iran in just the past 24 hours, the country’s biggest jump since the outbreak began. Iran’s health ministry on Friday noted that 124 people have died.
