Coronavirus: Igbinedion University bans foreign trip by staff
The management of Igbenedion University, Okada on Thursday ban staff members earlier scheduled to attend international conferences and workshops from doing so in response to COVID-19 pandemic whose case has risen to twelve in Nigeria.
The university management in a special bulletin published by Public Relations Unit on 19th March 2020 titled Coronavirus Precautionary alert also cancel all invitation extended to foreign partners and collaborators especially from index countries.
“All public lectures, symposia, workshop earlier scheduled to hold in the university are hereby postponed indefinitely.

The University enjoins all staff and students to use the hand sanitizers already provided religiously. Lectures are to continue in the various colleges under strict adherence to precautionary measures including hand washing, use of sanitizers and keeping social distance,” it said.
